Group of Jet Skiers In Bahamas Rescues 100 People Stranded By Hurricane

After Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas and left residents stranded in high waters, people have used jet skis to help rescue others. Michael Pintard, the Bahamas Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources, says he was trapped in his house in Freeport with his wife and young daughter because of rising floodwaters, but a group of jet skiers saved them.

The group was led by Jensen Burrows and d’Sean Smith, who are members of the Grand Bahama Jet Ski Club. They organized more than a dozen jet skiers to help and were able to rescue 100 people and get them to the safety of a highway bridge, according to Minister Pintard.
