The IRS is giving taxpayers an extra day to file their taxes – but not because they’re feeling generous. Rather, it’s due to "technical difficulties" on its website yesterday. In other words, if you haven’t filed…you’ve got until tonight at midnight to make it happe.
Even better? Taxpayers don't need to do anything to get the extra day. But if you do need extra time, the IRS is encouraging you to file for an extension as soon as possible. As in, by tonight at midnight.
