Meghan Trainor Has A Sweet Message For Demi Lovato Post-Hospitalization

Meghan Trainor has faith that Demi Lovato will find her road to recovery after being hospitalized for a drug overdose, as per a new interview at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 12).

Just before the big show, ET caught up with the star on the red carpet, where she shared her positive thoughts with host Lauren Zima. "We love you, Demi," Trainor told the outlet. "You're so strong. We know you'll come back stronger than ever and I can't wait for her return." Trainor and Lovato previously shared the stage together when they performed a tribute to Lionel Richie at the 2016 Grammy Awards.

Back in July, Meghan spoke about Lovato's hospitalization just hours after the news hit the blogosphere. "I just said, 'We love you,' because it's heartbreaking for her, but also her whole team and her family and everyone around her," she said about how she reacted to the news. "I know her team, and it must be such a shock for them. ... I just hope they're all OK, and I hope she's OK right now in the hospital."

As per the latest update, Lovato has temporarily left rehab in California to seek additional treatment in a Chicago facility. The pop star and her mother Dianna De La Garza flew to Chi-Town last Thursday night to meet with a psychiatrist who specializes in mental health and substance abuse. "She's in the midst of recovery," a source close to the singer told PEOPLE. "It's going to be a long road, and Demi knows that. Emotionally, it hasn't been easy, but she's doing okay."
