Researchers from the University of Michigan worked in concert with the New York Obesity Research Center to take a good look at foods like pizza, chips, cookies, ice cream, and the like. What they found is that the processing that goes into the food, the fats, refined carbs, and chemicals, get locked into our brains, seduce our taste buds, and lead us to crave them more than we normally would. And yes, they say that leads to an addiction-type reaction when it comes to craving foods like those. Their recommendation, switch to non-addictive foods like “carrots, rice and beans." ...... but what about pizza?
