Americans Spend $48 Billion a Year Shopping Online While Drunk

I'm sorry, but this is hilarious.

According to a new study, America is a nation of drunk online shoppers. Surveying more than 2,000 U.S. adults who drink, The Hustle finds that each of those adults spends an average of $444 annually on purchases made while intoxicated. If you extrapolate that figure to include all Americans of legal drinking age, you get approximately $48 billion a year wasted on shopping while wasted. The site also found that 79 percent of survey respondents have embarked on at least one drunken e-shopping expedition in their lives, with shoes and clothing the most common drunk purchases and Amazon the drunk shopper's platform of choice.
