New Company Pairs Wine and Books!

Wine and book clubs are a natural fit and women have been combining their love of the two as long as book clubs have been around. And now one wine company and a publishing company are pairing up to bring us “Tipsy Lit,” which is basically a virtual book club that pairs specific wines with specific books and gets conversations going about them.

Archer Roose wines and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt publisher are teaming up to bring us Tipsy Lit and in addition to telling us what wines go best with which books, they’ll also be introducing topics to spark communication. The first book they’re focusing on is “A Secret Sisterhood: The Literary Friendships of Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, George Eliot and Virginia Woolf” by Emily Midorikawa and they’re pairing it with Archer Roose’s Malbec.

And there’s even a contest to go with Tipsy Lit and the prize is free wine! Individual book clubs and their members are encouraged to share videos and experiences with the books and these wines and then one lucky club will win a case of wine and a case of books for their club. Cheers to that.
