“Dumbo,” “Captain Marvel” and Jordan Peele’s “Us” have finally been bumped from their throne thanks to newcomers “Shazam!” and “Pet Sematary.” DC’s latest superhero flick raked in $53-point-five million over the weekend for the top spot. Paramount Pictures’ take on Stephen King’s1989 original “Pet Sematary” nabbed the second spot, but not by as much, making $25 million.

Another newcomer, “The Best Of Enemies,” had a modest opening. The film about Ann Atwater and CP Ellis made a little over $4 million and debuted in the sixth spot. “How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” is still going strong in its seventh week, though it’s on its way out in the 10th spot.
