State Legislature To Vote On Opioid Tax

(Dover, DE) -- State lawmakers in Delaware are set to vote on a measure today. The Senate will vote on a bill that would tax pharmaceutical companies that sell opioid painkillers in the First State. The proposed per-pill tax would be based on the strength of the drugs. The money would then be used for drug addiction programs and opioid research.
