Here's What You Need To Bring For Firefly Music Festival

It's coming very soon and we couldn't be more excited. Here's what you need to bring for Firefly Music Festival.

It's almost that time. Firefly Music Festival 2019 starts on June 21st at The Woodlands in Dover, Delaware. With all the incredible talent that's going to be performing, the delicious food that will be just waiting for you to indulge and all of the fun experiences waiting to be had, it's easy to forget to think of what you should be doing to prepare ahead of time. You know I got you though, so I created a helpful list of what to bring to Firefly Music Festival.

What To Bring to Firefly Music Festival:

Your Ticket

This one should go without saying, but triple check before you leave for Dover, Delaware that you have your ticket / wristband / app. Keep screenshots of all your important information regarding your ticket so you have it handy just in case there's a problem.

A Reusable Water Bottle

There are numerous water fill up stations on site at The Woodlands, so you want to make sure you're prepared and stay hydrated. It can get really hot and humid in Delaware. Seriously, people from out of state underestimate the heat and humidity in Delaware. Don't be one of those people.

Sunscreen

You know how much I talk about using sunscreen everyday? Use twice the amount while you're at Firefly. Not only does it keep you from prematurely aging, but you'll ward off various types of cancers, nasty sunburns and keep yourself cooler. Apply your sunscreen liberally every few hours. Plus, you'll glisten in the sun.

Portable Charger

Honestly, are you even thinking of going to a music festival without a portable charger? You can get an amazing one that gives multiple full charges for like $20. Amazon Prime it now if you don't have one. You'll want access to your Firefly App, your friends and all your social media accounts.

Have A Buddy System In Place

The Firefly Music Festival is one of the most popular music festivals in the world, so expect a ton of people. Have a buddy system in place where you're not wandering off alone from your group. Have a plan in place that if someone does get lost, you have a designated meeting spot to meet back up. It seems silly now but believe me you'll want to have this in place, just in case you get lost in a sea of 100,000 people.

Bandanas

Bandanas are great for Firefly because you can use them so many ways. Keep the sweat out of your eyes by tying one around the brow of your head. Wet a bandana and put it on top of your head to keep you cool. Tie it around your face to keep dirt and dust out of your face. And of course, you'll look dope!

Set Up Apple Pay (or Google Pay)

Firefly Music Festival is a cashless festival so don't even try to bring cash. Set up Apple Pay (or Google Pay) (or Samesung Pay if that's even a thing people use) on your smart watch and your phone. Bring the physical card as a backup and make sure your debit account has all the money you'll need for Firefly plus some. Bring a credit card for emergencies and make sure it too is activated for Apple Pay / Google Pay on your phone / smartwatch.

Fanny Pack

You don't want to worry about losing your ID and your wallet and your debit / credit cards, so do yourself a favor and get a fanny pack. You can put all of your essentials in there and it's safe around your waist. Most of them are waterproof, so you won't have to worry about your essentials if it pours (and sometimes, it really does pour).

A Clear Bag / Backpack

On the festival grounds at The Woodlands, you will be permitted to bring in a clear bag or clear backpack. You'll definitely want to do this to hold the stuff you're bringing. Remember, keep your super essentials (physical debit card / credit card, your phone) in your fanny pack that will be attached to your body at all times. Keep everything else in your clear bag / backpack. Check out Fireflys rules on bags / backpacks.

TLDR

There is no TLDR. Go back and read this so you can be prepared :) Also, be sure to read Fireflys page on prohibited items as well as what they suggest if you're going to be camping.

Be sure to tweet me at @KmacMusic if you want to say hi at Firefly. I'm looking forward to making memories with you and having an incredible time.
