Wesley College Asks for More Money

Wesley College is asking for more money just weeks after the state gave the institution two-million dollars in funding. Spokesman for Delaware's Office of Management and Budget Bert Scogletti said the college is asking for an additional three-million dollars from the Higher Education Economic Development Investment Fund. Lawmakers are supporting the extra funding as they pointed out that institutions like the University of Delaware receive significantly more funding than Wesley College has gotten from the state in recent years. If its latest funding request is completely fulfilled, Wesley will have received more than $5 million from the higher education investment fund during the current fiscal year.
