Cole Swindell Sings About A Lasting Love In New Song, 'Some Are Forever'

Cole Swindell is treating his fans with a glimpse at new music. The country singer turned to Instagram on Thursday (June 4) to share a demo of a new song called "Some Are Forever."

Most of the time, summer love comes to an end when the fall rolls around but in Swindell's new song that's not the case. The track instead finds him singing of a summer love that lasted and eventually turned into so much more.

"Some margaritas ain't worth the money / Some are worth about a million or two / Some lead to small talk with somebody / And sometimes they lead to somebody like you," he sings. "When we met i told you it wasn't a one night thing / Guess I won that bet cause you're still here with me."

He then dives into the chorus singing, "And I'm gonna see that summer forever / Clear as that sky was all week long / Feeling more perfect than the Gulf Shore weather / Sweeter than the drinks we were sippin' on / And ever since then we've been together / way too good to end in September / Some summers all you can do is remember / cause their over too soon, but some are forever."

Swindell's "Some Are Forever" demo follows up the May 22 release of "Single Saturday Night." The track, which was co-written by Ashley Gorley, Michael Hardy and Mark Holman, is Swindell's first new music since 2018's "Love You Too Late," which is featured on his third studio album, All Of It.

Currently, the country star is scheduled to hit the road for the remainder of his headlining "Down To Earth Tour," which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour is set to kick off on October 1 in Macon, Georgia running through October 24 in Kansas City, Mo. Joining Swindell on his "Down To Earth Tour" are special guests HARDY and Trea Landon.
