Justin Bieber made his Tiny Desk Concert debut this week!
In making his first appearance ever on NPR’s concert series on Wednesday (March 17), the 27-year-old made the occasion special by premiering something new from his upcoming album, Justice, a sexy jam called “Peaches.” The cut, on which Daniel Caesar and Giveon originally appear as featured artists, is one of the many tracks Bieber delivered during his intimate, stripped-back showcase along with performances of his previously-released Justice singles “Anyone” (originally with Benny Blanco), “Hold On,” and “Holy” (originally featuring Chance the Rapper).
On the R&B-tinged record “Peaches,” Bieber sings: “I get my peaches out in Georgia, ooh, yeah, s**t / I get my weed from California, that's that shit / I took my chick up to the North, yeah, bada** b***h / I get my light right from the source, yeah, yeah, that's it.”
In addition to performing on Tiny Desk, Bieber revealed the music video for “Peaches” will premiere this Friday (March 19), the same day Justice will be unleashed into the world.
Bieber’s Justice, marking his sixth studio album, comes a little over a year after he unveiled his chart-topping LP Changes in February 2020.
"In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet we all crave healing and justice for humanity. In creating this album my goal is to make music that will provide comfort, to make songs that people can relate to and connect to so they feel less alone,” Bieber said of his new album. “Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless. … This is me doing a small part. My part. I want to continue the conversation of what justice looks like so we can continue to heal."
