Christina Aguilera understands parenting a "tough" job, but she still manages to win "cool mom points" with her kids.
The "Genie In A Bottle" singer appeared as a guest on the Tuesday (December 9) episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show where she dished on all the ways her two children manage to keep her "humbled." Aguilera shares 17-year-old son Max with ex-husband Jordan Bratman and 10-year-old daughter Summer with fiancé Matt Rutler, per People.
"It's tough with kids in general," she said. "They will call you out for anything and everything. And I'm like, 'I've lived through some things, too!'"
She added, "For sure they keep you humbled, but you do learn through their eyes also and [motherhood] teaches you patience, too."
The Burlesque star went on to explain how she recently scored "cool" points with her oldest, admitting she was able to impress Max after he got to go backstage and meet LCD Soundsystem when both Aguilera and the band performed at the Portola Festival in San Francisco in September.
"It was such a vibe," she said, "and I got cool mom points for that."
As for her daughter, Aguilera revealed the tween is showing off her creative side through art and even acting.
"She's such an artist, she paints, she draws, she makes beautiful masks, and she's just so creative, but she's definitely her own thing," she said, adding, "And I never want to push anything on my kids, whatever they're passionate about, I'm there to support it, but she has taken an interest in acting, so she's had a few lessons."
