Indoor Drive-in Theater Opens in Nashville

As movie theater chains try to come up with new and exciting ways to enhance the moviegoing experience, one of the most intriguing entrepreneurial efforts around is actually more of a throwback. According to Variety, Nashville's planned August Moon Drive-In will be a giant indoor replica of a '60s drive-in movie theater. Slated to open in 2018, the 40,000-square-foot, domed August Moon will feature a simulated starry sky, seating in modified classic cars and a menu of artisanal comfort foods--as well as a full bar. It will also boast the largest non-IMAX movie screen in North America.
