They may have looked like limes, but they weren’t. Officials say smugglers tried to get some four-thousand pounds of pot through the border using fake limes before Customs and Border Protection agents busted the operation at the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas.Customs officials say the smuggled drugs were found inside a tractor-trailer January 30th. When peeled back, the fake limes are green balls made of weed mixed in with real Key limes.A drug sniffing dog along with imaging equipment found the fake pot disguised as limes. The feds say the drugs have a street value of nearly one-million dollars. Homeland Security is also investigating the find.
