A new AAA study finds that “well over half” of drivers in every age group have texted behind the wheel, run a red light or driven faster than the speed limit in the past 30 days.
Interestingly, drivers between the ages of 16 and 18 were less likely to have engaged in those illegal behaviors.
Furthermore, while over half of all drivers feel unsafe when they see other motorists talking on their cell phones, 68 percent admit to doing it themselves. And 23 percent of drivers think it’s perfectly fine to drove 15 miles per hour over the speed limit on the freeway.
