YouTube viewing around the world accounts for nearly as much daily watching as all U.S. television. It’s pretty obvious that the way we take in entertainment has shifted drastically in the last 10 years.
People watch a billion hours a day on the video streaming site, more than a thousand centuries worth of video each day.
By contrast, Americans watch around one and a quarter billion hours of television each day. It’s about to get more enticing to watch the famed video website’s content; YouTube is removing unskippable 30-second commercials as of next year.
