Former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have reportedly inked deals for individual memoirs with Penguin Random House. “We are absolutely thrilled to continue our publishing partnership with President and Mrs. Obama,” the publishing house’s chief executive Markus Dohle said in a statement Tuesday. “With their words and their leadership, they changed the world, and every day, with the books we publish at Penguin Random House, we strive to do the same.” The Financial Times reports that the couple are expected to take home more than $60 million for the memoirs. Former President Bill Clinton is believed to hold the current record for a memoir, making $15 million for My Life. President Obama's memoir will be his fourth book, following Dreams from my Father, Audacity of Hope and the children’s book Of Thee I Sing.
