We’re sure most people think they live in the best state in the country, but we know that can’t possibly be true, because there are 50 states and not everyone can be the best. Well, the debate over which state is the best can stop now because new report from "U.S. News & World Report" seems to have the answer.
The magazine evaluated all 50 states on a range of factors including education, healthcare, infrastructure and economy, and determined that Massachusetts is the state that best serves their citizens. Massachusetts earns top honors for being number one in education and two in healthcare, two factors weighed more heavily than others for the rankings.

Delaware did make the top 20 BTU just barely. We came in at number 20. We are however #8 in the country for opportunity and apparently our economy ranks in at the number 9 position.
As for specific categories, Hawaii ranks highest for healthcare in the country, while Oregon is number one for infrastructure, Colorado is tops for economy and Indiana tops the list for government.
And if you’re wondering what state came in dead last, that would be Louisiana, which ranks 46th in education, 45th in healthcare, and 50th in the category crime and corrections. But they do have beignets so you have to give them credit for that.
