Mama June Shannon has opened up about how she plans to keep off the 300 pounds she shed through intense surgery, exercise and diet. "I can promise you I’m never going back to that size," she tells People magazine. "I’m happy where I’m at.”
The reality star, who at her highest tipped the scales at 460 pounds, says she's still working out and learning to eat her favorite foods like barbeque and Mexican in moderation. "I’m not going to lie to you: I have thrown up, because you can’t over eat with the gastric sleeve,” she admits. “That’s not a thing that I recommend to somebody. You realize what you can and can’t do, and when you do it that one time, you don’t do it again."
Shannon also talks about how she hopes that her new lifestyle will inspire her daughters. "I do worry about their health, but I’m not going to say, ‘You got to eat salads all the time,’" she concedes. “I’ve seen Pumpkin and Alana lose and gain weight, but I don’t want them to end up like I did at 460 lbs. Who would want that?"
