Eating avocado is a simple way to prevent metabolic syndrome, according to a new study published in the journal Phytotherapy Research. Dubbed "the new silent killer," metabolic syndrome is a combination of three or more risk factors for heart disease and diabetes. Those risk factors include high blood pressure, high triglycerides and large waist circumference.
