Ed Sheeran revealed during a concert this week that he recently got a tattoo in honor of his hit song “Galway Girl”--but "Girl" is misspelled. BBC reports that Sheeran told the story during his concert in Glasgow, Scotland, on Sunday night, noting that Oscar-nominated actress Saoirse Ronan actually gave him the tat while they were filming the song’s music video in Ireland last week.
“When we were filming it, I meant to get a tattoo of her handwriting saying Galway Girl," he recalled. "It actually says Galway Grill. G-r-i-l-l." Sheeran went on to explain that the actress intentionally messed up the spelling as a prank. "Like, full on, she really took the p**s out of me with this one," he added.
