A hacker posted episodes from the upcoming season of Orange Is the New Black on Saturday, after Netflix failed to give in to the hacker's demand for ransom. According to MarketWatch, the hacker (known as thedarkoverlord) wrote on Saturday, "It didn't have to be this way, Netflix.
You're going to lose a lot more money in all of this than what our modest offer was." On Friday, Netflix said it was aware of the situation and the Associated Press reported that the FBI was investigating. The hacker posted the completed ten (of 13 total) episodes on The Pirate's Bay.
Netflix had previously planned to release the new season on June 9.
