DOC Commissioner Perry Phelps Stops by Studio

This week is National Correctional Officers and Employees Week.  THANK YOU to all of our CO's and support employees at the Delaware Department of Correction for all they do on a daily basis.

National Correctional Officers and Employees Week began on May 5th 1984, when then President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation stating that "State and local governments and the people of the United States observe this week with ceremonies and activities to recognize the contributions of Correctional Officers to our Nation.

Please make sure to take time this week to congratulate our brothers and sisters in the field for their successes in protecting the public. The Delaware Department of Correction employees roughly 2000 officers and 500 support staff (Administrators, Human Resource Specialists, Community Relations personnel, Medical staff, Records Techs, and more).
