With the recent terrorist attacks in Europe, including another one this weekend in London, it would be understandable if folks in the U.S. decided to forgo travel in the region this summer, but it turns out Americans won’t be scared away from heading overseas. In fact, a new report finds that London and Paris are actually the most popular European destinations for summer travel.
According to Allianz Global Assistance, there will be a 36.55% increase in U.S. travelers headed to London this summer, with a 28.77% increase in U.S. travelers headed to Paris. Both of these increases bring the number of U.S. travelers close to the summer numbers of 2015, which was prior to the November attacks in Paris.
Stockholm, which also experienced a terror attack this year, is seeing an 8.16% increase, with more U.S. travelers expected there than in both 2015 and 2016.
