Three Clif Bar products are being recalled over the possible presence of undeclared peanuts and some tree nuts. "Clif Bar discovered this issue when it received a small number of consumer complaints alleging peanut or tree nut allergic reactions," the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Thursday. "There are no confirmed illnesses associated with this recall."
CNN reports that Clif Bar & Co. is pulling its Clif Builder's Bar Chocolate Mint flavor, Clif Kid Zbar Protein Chocolate Mint and Clif Kid Zbar Protein Chocolate Chip, as well as snack sizes and variety packs. People who do not have nut allergies can safely consume the products. Concerned customers can return products to the stores where they were purchased for an exchange or full refund.
