On Thursday's edition of Good Morning America, the name of Crayola’s new blue crayon was revealed. So what’s it called? Bluetiful, which beat out Blue Moon Bliss, Dreams Come Blue, Reach for the Stars, and Star Spangled Blue in an online vote.
As ABC notes, the hue of blue used in Bluetiful was inspired by a new pigment, YinMn, that was discovered by scientists at Oregon State University. Bluetiful, which will be available in time for the holidays, replaces the color Dandelion, a yellowish crayon that was retired by Crayola earlier this year.
