Childhood Obesity Is Still On The Rise Worldwide-Children around the world are packing on the pounds.A new study out of Imperial College in London finds that 124 million children are considered obese, ten times as many as there were in 1975.
Pacific island nations had the highest rates, with some 30 percent of kids between five and 19 considered obese. The U.S. and the Middle East were second on the list, with levels above 20 percent. The study was published Tuesday in the journal "The Lancet."Obese children have a much greater risk of developing life threatening health problems.
