With Thanksgiving nearly upon us, ponder this question: Is pie better than cake? “Pie is far better than cake,” writes the website Post Grad Problems. “Pies have so much variety. Some are better served hot, while others are great served cold.
They can also be very seasonal. Key lime pie and lemon meringue pie are excellent in the spring, while pumpkin, shoofly and various warm fruit pies are amazing in the fall and winter…Aside from cheesecake, which is cold but delicious, the majority of cake is only as good as the volume of icing put on it…I’m not saying cake isn’t good, it’s just miles behind pie as a dessert.”
