In a weekly crime wrap-up pasted to the Bangor (Maine) Police Department’s Facebook page on Thursday, it was revealed that officers recently responded to a woman who heard noises in her basement and thought her home had been invaded. Her dog was barking aggressively at the disturbance--which turned out to be a roll of duct tape that had fallen off a shelf and bounced down the stairs. On Facebook, Sergeant Tim Cotton wrote that the woman could’ve held her own until police arrived because she was “from Maine, had a dog and a roll of duct tape
