Americans don’t think they are thriving, but it could be worse.
Gallup did a poll of the G20 nations and there has been a drop in the feeling people are thriving across the board for the most part. Russia, China, Indonesia, and Germany saw upticks in the number of people who think their lives are better.
The U.S. saw a 10-percent drop, however. According to Gallup, factors that spur the negativity include “Americans are finding themselves paying more for housing, healthcare and education” and facing a job market where many are “still out of the workforce or involuntarily working in part-time jobs” and you can see why we may not feel we’re thriving.
It could be worse! We are third in the ranking behind India and Turkey.
