Officials in Cape Town, South Africa, have warned that the city will run out of water on April 12. How has major city in the developed world run dry? CNN reports that it's due to three factors: 1) The worst drought in more than a century, 2) The growing population and 3) The rapidly changing climate. Starting February 1, residents will only be allowed to use 50 liters (a little over 12 gallons) of water per person, per day. "It is quite unbelievable that a majority of people do not seem to care and are sending all of us headlong towards Day Zero," the mayor's office said in a statement. "We can no longer ask people to stop wasting water. We must force them."
