An innocent school assembly went wrong real quick after inappropriate images displayed during a viewing of “Paddington Bear 2.” The 9-year-old children were apparently exposed to the images after the school had a “failure in [their] filters.”
Teachers sent students home with letters detailing the incident, but of course that wasn’t good enough. Parents were mad that they weren’t notified immediately and they had to hear about it out of the children's mouths. “You don’t expect to have it in a school,” one parent says. “Some children take it with a pinch of salt, but other kids are traumatized.
So what went wrong? Apparently, the movie was being streamed from the Internet when the school had “an issue with [its] web content filtering software.” When asked if the film was watched before the assembly, a staff member said, “they had not.”
