In the wake of Storm Emma, a number of supermarkets haven't been getting expected deliveries, leaving just about everything in short supply. It's been so bad, in fact that ASDA (U.K.'s Walmart) is allowing customers to take home two cartons of milk and two loaves of bread and security guards are put in place to “prevent extreme shoppers” from stocking up.
Shopper Scott McLintock says the system has been working well, but it’s still crazy out in the stores. “The two per person method seems to be working well and everyone was responding well to it in a civilized manner,” says McLintock.
No news yet one when supermarkets will be fully restocked.
