McDonald's says it's going to start putting fresh beef in its Quarter Pounders.
The fast-food company says it's switching from frozen beef to fresh beef with no added preservatives in its Quarter Pounders in every U.S. restaurant except in Hawaii and Alaska. The switch does not apply to Big Macs and regular burgers.
McDonald's USA president says the switch to the fresh-beef Quarter Pounder is the most significant change at the restaurant since the All Day Breakfast in 2015. The company says the change, like making Happy Meals healthier, is in response to public demand for more healthy options.
The change begins in May, but is currently in test markets now. Source: CNN
