Back in 2012, someone left a jar of pickles on a Missouri on-ramp's barrier wall--and they haven't stopped since. Over the next six years, numerous drivers have spotted pickle jars on the same I-270 on-ramp in the St. Louis suburb of Des Peres. As VICE notes, whenever a jar disappears, another one eventually comes along to take its place. The mystery pickles have become such a local icon that a Facebook page has sprouted up to document jar sightings. VICE also wonders whether it's some sort of clever Vlasic marketing stunt. Could be!
