Forget about the trade war, America has already lost a major battle to China: the amount of Budweiser consumed by its citizens. Extra Crispy reports that for the first time, China is drinking more Budweiser beer than the United States. This statistic comes courtesy of data provided by Rabobank.
While still the fourth best-selling beer in the U.S., American consumption of the "King of Beers" has been on the decline since 2005. Rabobank believes the decline comes as a result of an increase in sales of craft and import brands. In China, not only is Budweiser considered an import, there are also four times as many people living there.
