As the state deals with staffing shortages at prisons, one option on the table is moving inmates out of state.  Delaware's  Department of Corrections says it's an exploratory idea to improve  safety and ease the pressure on the understaffed James T. Vaughn  Correctional Center.  Officials did not release specifics of the  proposal.  As of last month, the DOC reported carrying more than 200  vacant correctional officer positions statewide.
