In the latest episode of Delaware NOW, Kyle McMahon talks with ShopRite management about how they're serving the community and keeping their employees and customers safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
ShopRite has been a staple of our community for decades. Through the coronavirus, they're here for both employees and customers more than ever. They'll be closing their stores on Easter Sunday to give their employees a much needed day of rest. While the stores are closed, professional cleaners will be deep cleaning the stores in preparation for the next wave of customers looking to get their much needed groceries and other essential items through the coronavirus pandemic.
I spoke with Ben Simons, Sales and Marketing Manager, as well as Cassandra Umile, Nutritionist and Quality Assurance Director, about the precautions ShopRite stores are taking to keep both their employees and customers safe. Some of these procedures include limiting the amount of people in the stores, marking the floors with arrows to control traffic and having employees hand out wipes to clean their carts before they use them. Customers also have the option of a completely contactless experience if they so choose.
