Broadway powerhouses Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming bring their immense talents to the hilarious and charming Shmigadoon! Season 2. In a recent interview on Pop Culture Weekly with Kyle McMahon (that's me!), they shared their experiences on the show, Kristin's love for 7-Eleven, and how much fun it was to sing a jolly song about eating children.

Schmigadoon!, the Apple TV+ series now in its second season, is a brilliant musical-comedy that parodies classic musicals and delights both hardcore theater geeks and casual viewers alike. As season 2 unfolds, the show continues to impress with its clever writing, parodies, and hidden Easter eggs. Chenoweth and Cumming are key players in the show's success, with their performances bringing life to the quirky characters of Schmigadoon!

During our conversation, Kristin and Alan shared some behind-the-scenes stories about the fun and camaraderie among the talented cast and crew. Chenoweth revealed that she fully embraced her character's, erm, unique accent for a month before filming, even using it in her daily life, much to the chagrin of her fiancee, Josh. Cumming, on the other hand, enjoys playing extreme characters like Dooley Flint, his character in Schmigadoon!, which he likened to being like Halloween every day.

And Kristin and I bonded over our love for 7-Eleven, with Chenoweth being a fan of the store's pizza and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and her revelation that Cumming actually gifted her a Slurpee machine of her very own.

The delightfully juicy performances of Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming in the second season of Schmigadoon! are definitely not to be missed. Their incredible talent and chemistry bring the show's hilarious parodies and clever writing to life.
