The red carpet was a dazzling affair, with the cast of About My Father all decked out and eager to share their experiences working on the film. Sebastian Maniscalco, who stars in the film and based it on his real-life relationship with his father Salvo, was thrilled to bring the premiere to his hometown of Chicago. He expressed his gratitude for having his parents present at the event and reflected on the importance of family in both his life and his career.

Kim Cattrall, who plays Sebastian's future Mother In Law Tigger in the film, discussed the challenges of filming during a pandemic, and how the experience brought the cast and crew closer together. She also mentioned the anticipation of finally getting to see the final product and the film's journey to find its audience. 

Anders Holm, who plays Sebastian's future Brother In Law Lucky Collins in the film, talked about the long hours on set and the sense of camaraderie among the cast. He noted that the red carpet premiere felt like a reunion, allowing everyone to reconnect and celebrate all of the hard work that went into making About My Father. 

Director Laura Terruso shared her excitement and joy at the premiere, emphasizing the rewarding feeling of seeing the film come to fruition after overcoming numerous obstacles during production. 

David Rasche, who plays Sebastian's future Father In Law Bill Collins in the movie, touched on the power dynamic between his character's on-screen family and his own mother. He also acknowledged the surreal feeling of being a part of a project that holds such personal significance for Sebastian Maniscalco and his family and how powerful it is that they are able to watch the film with him at the premiere.

The one and only Robert De Niro graced the red carpet, playing Salvo, Sebastian Maniscalco's father, in the film. He expressed his happiness for Sebastian and Salvo, and the unique opportunity to portray such a personal character. De Niro's presence added an undeniable touch of Hollywood royalty to the event. And what a cool thing to be able to watch the the film in the presence of the real life man he's portraying.
