Country Superstar Jimmie Allen is ready to clear his name & fight back against "false allegations"

Country superstar Jimmie Allen is ready to clear his name and fight back against allegations made against him earlier this year. In the Spring, a pair of lawsuits were filed against him by two women accusing him of sexual assault - one, named "Jane Doe" in court, was his former day to day manager who went on to continue working with the singer / songwriter for two years following the alleged accusations. The accuser did not report the alleged accusations to law enforcement but did go to the media outlet Variety to give an interview.

The second, "Jane Doe 2", accused him, in part, of secretly recording a consensual sexual encounter without consenting to the recording. At the time, Allen released a short statement vehemently denying the sexual assault claims, but apologizing to his wife and children for his participation in extramarital affairs. He wrote, "This business takes so much from you. It's full of temptations that can cripple you and ruin everything you've built. I'm ashamed that I wasn’t strong enough to withstand them. I will no longer be a victim of my weaknesses".

Since then, Allen, a Delaware native, went radio silent as he worked on his own mental health, worked on fixing his marriage and worked on building a legal team to defend himself. Almost immediately following the accusations, the "Down Home" artist was dropped by his record label, dropped by his agent, management and publicist and removed from festival lineups in addition to the cancellation of numerous deals.

Today, Allen filed counter-suits to fight back against the allegations and released a statement directly refuting the claims:

"As a result of numerous false allegations, I have engaged with a legal team to proceed with an appropriate course of action to protect my reputation and refute these claims that have caused severe damage to my family, mental health, and business.
I’ve taken a couple months before publicly responding to these claims, because I wanted to fix my family first. This situation has caused me great humiliation, and I felt it was necessary to seek professional help. For years, I have delt with racism and harmful threats solely because I am a Black man in the country music industry, and this situation has only amplified that. As the son and brother of rape victims, and the father of daughters, these false claims are extremely hurtful to me and everyone around me.
These false allegations have caused me to lose a vast number of business and endorsement opportunities that I worked extremely hard for. These false allegations have also not only harmed me, but have caused severe financial damage to my band, my team, and their families.
As the legal process runs its course, I look forward to the opportunity to clear my name. I am forever thankful for those who have stood by me and helped me share the truth. My team and I look forward to putting this behind us and getting back to the music.”

The counter-suits, filed in Nashville, offer strong evidence refuting the claims in both cases, including statements from the aforementioned Variety interview that are paradoxical to the actual lawsuit Doe filed. Interestingly, Wide Open Music, Allen's former management company where Doe worked, have asked the courts to be removed from Doe's lawsuit, disagreeing with her version of events, "Undoubtedly, if the actions she claims Allen took against her actually occurred, they are deplorable and clearly inappropriate. Despite the nature of the allegations, however, Plaintiff has not stated any plausible claims … that [Wide Open Music] should be held liable, either for its client’s misconduct or independently of it."

Allen, who recently enjoyed numerous #1 Country singles, a feature on Elton John's The Lockdown Sessions album, mentoring on American Idol and stars on Apple TV+'s My Kind of Country, will have all eyes on him in the wake of a wave of recent allegations against famous men, where the original cases were unable to persuade a jury in their favor. Most famously, Johnny Depp won a $15 million counter-suit claim against aspiring actress Amber Heard,
