LOCASH & Josh Turner bring Country to DC as they join the Star studded lineup of PBS' A Capitol Fourth 2025
Alright, let's be real. Your Fourth of July plans probably involve some form of trying not to incinerate the lawn with a rogue firework while arguing with your Uncle about the definition of "medium rare." I get it, I really do. But what if you could upgrade your patriotic background noise from "arguments and small explosions" to some actual, top-tier country music?
Well, you can. Because LOCASH and Josh Turner are heading to Washington, D.C. for A Capitol Fourth, and you don't even have to leave your couch.

It just makes sense. Nothing says 'America' quite like a steel guitar and songs about a dirt road. So, bringing in the Country artists for the nation’s 249th birthday is a no-brainer. First up, you’ve got LOCASH, the duo whose entire job is to provide the soundtrack for questionable decisions made around a packed cooler. Their feel-good summertime bops are scientifically engineered to make you turn the volume up and maybe even attempt that two-step you saw on TikTok. And you know I won’t judge you for that because I do the same thing and I do it with a smile.

Then, to balance out the party-starting, A Capitol Fourth is bringing in Josh Turner. Josh will be bringing that incredible voice that is so deep it could probably register on a seismograph. When that man starts crooning with his classic country reverence, you're going to feel patriotic in a serious way. It's the perfect moment to solemnly salute a flag and probably shed a tear.

But the party doesn't stop with Country. This lineup is, frankly, STACKED! We're talking actual legends like The Beach Boys and The Temptations - yes, those ones. You’ll also hear from gospel queen Yolanda Adams, brand-new American Idol winner Abi Carter, the singer songwriter pop of Lauren Daigle and the brass-and-bass magic of New Orleans legend Trombone Shorty. And it's all hosted once again by Alfonso Ribeiro.
So when you need a break from your own chaotic celebration, tune in. You can catch the whole glorious spectacle live on Friday, July 4, at 8 pm. EST on PBS, YouTube, or PBS.org or catch the encore presentation immediately following at 9:30p or on demand through July 18th. It'll be the most patriotic thing you do all day, and you don't even have to put on real pants.
