Egg prices are soaring and they’ll keep on rising for now. According to the Consumer Price Index, the price for a carton of eggs jumped 49-point-one-percent in November to three-dollars-and 58-cents. In some states, the price has jumped a stunning 64-percent. Agriculture officials are blaming the avian flu for poor egg production. Families have also been eating eggs more to try and offset inflation. Rapper Cardi B even voiced her opinion, tweeting "prices are ridiculous right now, you might as well eat outside!!" Another Twitter user said "eggs are the new bitcoin."
