Ron Howard's wife Cheryl narrowly avoided a scary incident at her birthday party.
On Dec. 23, Ron posted a video from Cheryl's 71st birthday party that shows her blowing out candles on her birthday cake that he was holding for her.
In the video, a candle from the cake momentarily lights Cheryl's hair on fire, and she jumps back and yells while family members quickly move in to help.
The video shows the situation turn from potentially dangerous to good-natured quickly. As one family member examined Cheryl's hair, Ron can be heard saying, "It burnt her hair a little bit." Despite this scary situation, Cheryl didn't seem too phased. After it happened she asked Ron "Can you believe that? Did you get it on camera?"
As more family members swirl in to check on Cheryl, others begin laughing and comforting children in the room. Ron can be seen clapping and laughing as the camera pans around to family members assembled for the party.
