DDG: Anonymous Donor Replaces Equipment For Carpenter After Trailer Stolen

Grandview, Missouri, carpenter Kyle Hudson recently had his trailer stolen, along with about $10-thousand worth of tools and work equipment. The trailer had been parked outside his home and wasn’t insured, leading to him losing several ongoing projects. After local station WDAF-TV aired a story about the theft, a viewer who’d experienced a similar loss a decade ago decided to help.

The anonymous good Samaritan donated over a dozen pieces of equipment to Hudson, including saws, drills, and an air compressor. The man, who once had more than $25-thousand worth of equipment stolen from his own trailer, said he was moved by the situation and wanted to support him in getting back to work.

Hudson expressed deep gratitude, saying the generous gift meant he could return to work immediately. He praised the kindness of strangers, saying that support can come from unexpected places if you speak up. Local police are continuing to look into the stolen trailer and equipment.
