DDG: Community Saves Wedding After Vandals Destroy Venue, Decorations

Earlier this summer, on the day of their wedding, Carsen and Travis Snider arrived at their wedding venue in White Sulphur Springs, Montana, to find it completely vandalized. Decorations were destroyed, tables flipped, wine bottles smashed, and propane tanks emptied. Travis said it looked like “Someone was dedicated to ruining this." The couple was heartbroken with just hours before their ceremony.

Once news of the vandalism got out, the local community quickly came together to help the couple. The Edith Hotel provided clean linens, decorations, and picture frames. Bar 47 collected shot glasses, and a local grocery store reprinted photos for the wedding. Store customers also contributed to the couple’s honeymoon fund after hearing their story.

Thanks to the outpouring of support, the venue was fully restored in time for the wedding ceremony. The bride and groom were moved to tears by the generosity and said it felt like the vandalism had never happened. Reflecting on the experience, Carsen shared, “Seriously, love won that day, and love is all that matters.”
