DDG: LSU Football Player Pulls Over To Help Mom Stranded On Side Of Road

Cayla Abad was driving in Baton Rouge with her three young children last Thursday when her tire blew out on a busy stretch of road. She managed to pull onto the shoulder but worried about their safety as cars sped by. Soon after, a nice young man stopped to offer his help.

The helpful stranger was Louisiana State University football player Tamarcus Cooley, a safety who transferred to LSU earlier this year. He explained that he’d been on the phone with his mother when he saw the family, and told her he needed to stop. He quickly changed the tire, making sure the mother and children could continue their trip safely. Abad shared photos of the moment on social media, where the story quickly gained attention.

She said Cooley told her he didn’t expect the post to go viral, adding that he only stopped out of concern for their safety. She described him as genuine and sincere, and his act of kindness left a lasting impression on the family, who said they would never forget the experience.
