Daily Do Good: Missing Boy Rescued From Hersheypark Monorail Tracks

At Hersheypark in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, a young boy was reported missing after he became separated from his parents. As park officials searched for the child, he entered a secured monorail area. Fortunately, the ride wasn’t in operation at the time

A now viral video captured by a park attendee, shows the boy walking back and forth on the elevated monorail track. As the crowd tried to get the boy to walk back to safety, one parkgoer got on top of an adjacent building, climbed onto the track and picked up the boy. With the help of another bystander, the child was lowered to safety.

Park officials say that staff responded immediately after the child was spotted and moments later he was safely reunited with his family, unharmed. In a statement, Hersheypark praised the response and emphasized their commitment to safety, writing, "We are grateful for the vigilance of our guests and the swift response of our team."
